Lungile Maile is a multi talented young woman who has an extensive background in the FMCG sector, this is where she realised that South Africa needed innovative solutions to address the education crisis. Being a solution oriented person, she took it upon herself to start Nubian Smarts a company that is dedicated to improving learner’s school results through fun educational games.She is a staunch believer in the power of education, and its this belief that drives her determination in creating innovative and engaging educational solutions that will empower the African child.
Among her many achievements in the short time that she has had the company , she has been honoured to make it to the top 20 of the first ever Cell C Hangman Reality show and is also an Alumni of the 2017 Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Program and 2017 Google Developers Launchpad and most recently the company exhibited at the prestigious SA Innovation Summit at their Inventor’s garage section. She is also one 50 most inspiring women of the South African panorama in 2018 and a winner of the 2018 Pioneer Foods Community Champion. In 2019 she was also selected as one of the 100 Shining Stars of Ekurhuleni.
Head of Operations:
Noel Simelane has an extensive background in operations management having worked for various multi national FMCG companies occupying various management roles. He currently holds a bachelors degree in Operations Management and a postgraduate Diploma , Advanced Project management.At present he is studying towards a Masters in Industrial Engineering at the University of Johannesburg.
Noel believes that education is the greatest way to solve inequality problems that are facing our continent , he is passionate about empowering young learners in Africa.
Mbongeni Simelane is the Motivational Speaker and Mathematics Educator, the Director of Melane Academy, who holds a National Diploma: Accountancy and Bachelor Degree in Education/Teaching from the self motivatedUniversity of Johannself-motivated
He is and determined to achieve all the best regardless of the life obstacles. Due to financial and academic challenges at University, It took him 9 years to get his degree in 2015 after finishing Matric in 2005. He dropped out twice at different Universities and UJ became the third try university for him to try and pursue his dream to get his degree, and indeed he got it and graduated successfully.
He is teaching full time at a primary school based in Soweto and runs Academic and Leadership Training with Melane Academy as a Director across Gauteng.
Sebenzile Maile and Dintle Maile are young females that have a passion for working with children and showing them the possibilities that await them through Mathematics. Sebenzile holds a Fitter & Turner NQF 4 qualification and is currently working hard on completing the qualification. Dintle Maile holds a beauty therapy qualification and has worked experience in administration.
